Two dukes and a Witch
Two dukes and a Witch

These two guys who loved the same woman,
These two guys who lived in a castle,
Thin and blond for the magic English,
And the French, who sang Fat’s Waller fish.

Great crazy and screwy musicians,
Oh, my God, they seem so delirious ...
Do they know that the place is famous ?
Genious spirits which create and roam ...

In this end of the fool seventies,
In these walls dressed with giant tapestries,
In these padded halls and those dark stairs.
What had really happened, many tears ?

Frustation, sweet carress, looks, bright eyes,
Hypnotized body, erotic dreams,
Whispers, secrets, melodies, screams,
Or graceful moments of peace and smiles ?

The quiet witch had thrown an endless spell,
But she had broken the heart of blond
And mysterious man who lived in hell.
He must continue his life alone.

Through the park, hidden by tall trees,
Surrounded by ghosts playing music,
As her boyfriend who wrote lyrics
To marry them with some piano tears.

July, in nineteen seventy six,
So hot, under the summer blue sky,
The french heard and saw the Concord’s flight,
While recording and drinking some tea.

Outside, near the large swimming-pool,
Kids are all right, it’s not time for school,
While in rooms, electronic soundboards
Are tuned by efficient house lord.

Old stones, old chimneys and large workspace,
Is it a jail or liberty place ?
Behind the hight gate, adults had fun,
Some had nightmares, some had morning sun.

The two brillant men had different roots,
Brown and grey eyes, makeup, platform boots,
The first player will become a star,
He had sung them, last will be BlackStar.

The blond guy is gone,
The witch stayed with son,
French sang «Minimum»,
Castle was abandoned.
